About the event
On April 7, 2024, we will be holding screenings of three documentary films at the Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo: (1) She's in Prison (a film about Zou Xingtong, who was arrested on suspicion of violating the National Security Law); (2) Voices of April (a collection of the voices of medical personnel who worked hard during the Zero COVID policy); and (3) Middle Road in Urumqi (a record of the Blank Paper Movement).
Cho Hang-Tung
A barrister born in Hong Kong in 1985, he qualified as a lawyer after studying physics at Cambridge University. He was active in labor groups and organizations supporting Chinese human rights lawyers, and served as vice-chairman of the United Patriotic Democratic Movements in Support of Hong Kong (FPC), which was forced to disband in September 2021.
